The nozzle will operate with as little as .5 p.s.i.. With the sweet spot of operating pressure being 1 p.s.i.. Most cooling tower nozzle operates from 2 p.s.i. to 2.5 p.s.i.. Each pound of operating pressure requires 2.3 ft of pump head. Assuming a 1 lb operating pressure for the SpinFree nozzle and a 2.5 lb operating for other nozzles would reduce pump head by 3.45 ft. Add 2ft of reduced pump head for the low operating profile of the SpinFree and you would have a total pump head reduction 5.45 ft. In a large utility or industrial tower that will be pumping 100,000 gallons or more 5.45 ft. of pump is enormous.
